The Distributed Compute Services - Maintenance & Support (DCS M & S) organization provides enterprise leadership for core, regional, satellite data centers and managed lab environments. Our Servers are the foundation of Wells Fargo s technology platforms, a critical component in providing continual services to our customers while protecting their most confidential and personal information.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Open position for a Junior level Microsoft Windows administrator with experience working in a Systems Support Analyst role. Ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills. Ideal candidate would also have proven experience with Power Shell for System Administration tasks. Responsibilities to include: working within a high performing team accountable for Server Maintenance, Patching, & Break/Fix activities (problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, resolution of issues impacting systems and impaired user functionality) . Accountable to ensure server currency and systems stability through enforcement of corporate standards processes and disciplines to maintain a 24x7 support model. Provide oversite of and work on adhoc work intake as well as scheduled work. Participates in and enforces server management best practices and security policies. This team member will be required to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while coordinating effective, efficient, and timely communication with customers, team members and management. May include Weekend and on-call responsibilities.

This position must be filled on site from one of these locations (noted above)

The shifts for this position are 1st Shift (8:00a-5:00p) M-F (Flexibility Required)

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of systems support analysis experience
  • 1+ year of data center experience
  • 1+ month of professional experience through internships, part-time, or full-time work

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ month of professional experience through internships, part-time, or full-time work
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of data center: network designs
  • Knowledge and understanding of Physical layer infrastructure in a raised floor data center environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical hardware: systems engineering, testing and analysis of data center physical computing systems (cabling, network, and storage and server equipment)

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience building and supporting Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, and/or 2016.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, assignments or work load effectively.
  • Ability to work with Business Unit customers, technical and non-technical.
  • Current experience with updating/installing OS patch and Security patch packages.
  • Experience with scripting in Microsoft Power Shell
  • Experience with creating and maintaining GPOs
  • Experience Host / SAN connectivity (Must have boot to SAN experience)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Cluster Services
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Servers in VM instances
  • Experience with Dell, HP or IBM blade servers (HW/SW)
  • Experience with Dell, HP or IBM standalone servers (HW/SW)
  • Working knowledge of Altiris, Opsware, or some automation tool.
  • Current experience with updating firmware/BIOS for HP, IBM and Dell Intel Platforms
  • Some working knowledge of Oracle RAC / ASM, SQL Server, Apache, MS IIS, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss and other middleware related applications
  • Experience with Remedy or other ticketing systems.
