Modis is seeking experienced IT Support Specialist for one of their clients.
Our Client is located in King of Prussia, PA. Our client desires to hire this candidate on a Permanent Basis (Must be eligible to work directly on a W2 with out sponsorship).
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provides first-call technical assistance to all users, including remote support for other offices.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to problem documents, document management system and desktop OS.
- Tracks reported help desk calls through help desk software and creates concise and accurate documentation of issues from report to resolution.
- Provides follow-up to users after call support and problem resolution.
- Identifies trends in help desk calls and recommends systemic and pro-active solutions to mitigate issues.
- Provides in-house training to staff and attorneys for software applications used by the firm.
- Develops training curriculum and/or customizes relevant training courseware currently available on the market to fit the firm s training needs.
- Conducts classroom and/or one-on-one training for employees on all computer applications, specifically but not limited to: Microsoft Office 2003-2007, OpenText eDocs, Windows XP / 7 OS and Word macro packages.
- 2-5 years help desk support experience in a professional firm.
- Expert knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office suites applications (2003-2007) required.
- 1-2 years experience providing software training to end users, experience with adult learning concepts strongly desired.
- Relevant and recent software certification preferred.
- A highly proactive, solution-oriented approach to work and interactions.
- Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of projects and resolving issues proactively.
- High comfort level with sometimes stressful client requirements.
- Technical aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and apply effective independent judgment.
- Availability to work overtime; flexibility regarding work schedule.
