The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. Position Summary:
This role will report to the ITS Director of Applications and will be responsible for the day to day management of the HCM functional staff. The candidate will assist with project planning, application design, technical support and work order assignments. This is a functional role that requires excellent oral and written communication skills as they will be working with the business owners as well as developers. They will be responsible for maintaining and developing staff skills, writing yearly performance evaluations, coaching and mentoring according to our H3W values. They will be responsible for providing PeopleSoft functional support acting as the subject matter expert for HR and payroll. They will work with the business owners to propose cost effective solutions that will align the ERP application with business objectives while maintaining adherence to all company policies and procedures. They will provide best practice guidance to the business on using the PeopleSoft application, implementing new projects and guiding them through PUM updates. Position Responsibilities:
? Work on all project phases including fit/gap analysis, configuration, testing and production support Assist in fully integrating and configuring the PeopleSoft system into current business environments and provide input on best practices Motivate staff utilizing our H3W values and behaviors, assign work and monitor progress? Responsible for goal setting and writing yearly performance evaluations Develop skill sets in staff to insure group can provide adequate support as well as personal development Work as liaison with developers to scope, assign and prioritize work orders and incidents Attend daily huddles and setup weekly staff meetings to keep projects on target and help eliminate barriers to successful completion Attend project staff meetings with business owners to advise on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems Work with the Security team to develop roles and insure confidentiality of employee data Continually seek ways to improve the process of delivering PeopleSoft solutions Share knowledge to continually improve implementation methodology Working independently complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Coach and mentor staff Enforce business policies and procedures and take disciplinary action when appropriate On-call is required
Qualifications Minimum of 6-10 years PeopleSoft experience with a strong focus on core HR, Benefits and Payroll in a healthcare setting. Intermediate knowledge of Kronos PeopleSoft 9.x experience Upgrade and implementation experience, with a minimum of 3 full life cycle implementations Ability to work on all project phases and production support Solid understanding of setup tables, entire HCM cycle, processes, and reporting BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field.? Understand integration of HCM with other PeopleSoft modules such as Benefits Administration, Payroll, GL etc Knowledge of PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, PSQuery, PL-SQL Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint Intermediate skills Sharepoint and MS Projects Excellent written and oral communication skills? Additional Desired/Optional Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage project scope and expectations Demonstrated follow-through on assignments and issue resolution Membership in Oracle, PeopleSoft or Healthcare user groups Proven analytical problem solver Ability to effectively delegate providing clear guidance and expectations
