Role Summary:The Digital Ghost Cybersecurity Leader will be responsible for leading a $22MM+ portfolio of cybersecurity programs with the Government, building a common tech stack across the programs, working with multiple GE businesses to productize the technology and growing the portfolio year over year, to establish a new layer of cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.Essential Responsibilities:The Department of Energy has declared that the nations top cybersecurity threat is the power generation and distribution systems. To defend critical infrastructure from these attacks novel technology must be developed beyond what the IT & OT cybersecurity industries are doing today. GE Research is developing cutting edge technology combining domain knowledge of how assets should operate with advancements in controls, optimization and AI to create a new layer of defense called Digital Ghost.As the mission leader you will be responsible for driving $10-$20MM annual growth of the Digital Ghost portfolio between government and business programs. Understanding how our businesses and customers operate technically and financially will be important to setting the strategy to grow this new area. Growing the portfolio requires:+ Charting new territory in the cybersecurity landscape with both our GE businesses and our customers.+ Working with GE Power, GE Renewables, GE Aviation and BHGE to successfully meet project deliverables.+ Ensure seamless execution across the programs, deep ties between the research teams, business engineering teams and product management teams need to be cultivated to develop a common technology stack that can be leveraged across the programs and built upon for future programs will be critical.As the mission leader you will need to work with executives in our GE businesses to take the technology from research to a product. This technology will straddle the IT/OT security stack and industrial operations so understanding both and working with teams in both areas is key to success. Working with the businesses to define the technology stack, product requirements, integration plan and meeting with customers to define MVPs will be essential to building a product strategy across multiple GE businesses.A major part of the role will also involve working across DOE, DARPA, NERC, FERC, Navy, Airforce, NSA and other government agencies to shape both the technology and policy roadmaps. This involves working deeply with all levels of the government from program managers to the government agency leaders to ensure we meet their needs and shape their roadmaps. Working with policy makers will be important to help drive industry adoption of the technology.The Digital Ghost mission leader will own key relationships with the business and government with the ultimate responsibility of driving a new layer of cybersecurity defense for critical infrastructure that is adopted by our industrial customers as well as the DOD.Qualifications/Requirements:+ Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field with a minimum of 15 years of experience or a Master's degree with a minimum 10 years of experience.
