What We Do: The Technology Group (TG) is responsible for the strategic planning and provisioning of technology products and services to the Bank. The Group structure consists of six interdependent functions: Client Engagement, Enterprise Architecture & Strategy, Solution Delivery, Service Management, Information Security, and TG Governance. The Group also provides national information security, incident response, national remote access and enterprise search services for the Federal Reserve System. Information Security: The Information Security Function develops, executes and maintains a superior information security program that promotes resiliency by identifying and mitigating cyber risks and threats through risk-based consultation, advice, and direction for controls, designs, and investments for the Group and the entire Bank. The position is an individual contributor Officer-level role, residing in the Information Security Function, and reports to the Department Head of Information Security Strategy and Business Engagement. The successful candidate will be an experienced cyber security professional who has a track record of independent work, business involvement and focus on business outcomes, and familiarity working in a matrix operating model and federated environment. The Security Architecture Officer is familiar with the technologies and platforms used by the business units, and those prevalent or emerging in the business areas of the Bank. The Security Architect should be an expert in cyber with respect to emerging technology trends and security architecture principles and best practices, including: The impact of changes to standards, laws, regulations and best practices on security architectures. Understanding of how security architecture aligns to enterprise technology architectures. The position is an individual contributor Officer-level role, residing in the Information Security Function, and reports to the Department Head of Information Security Strategy and Business Engagement. The successful candidate will be an experienced cyber security professional who has a track record of independent work, business involvement and focus on business outcomes, and familiarity working in a matrix operating model and federated environment. Your Role as Security Architecture Officer: Develops and manages cybersecurity and information security architecture frameworks and standards for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Responsible for all security reference architectures including; solutions and applications, data and information, platforms, tools, infrastructure, middleware, systems and cloud. Develops and maintains a security reference architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and emerging threat drivers. Develops cybersecurity and information security strategic plans and roadmaps based on sound security architecture practices and principles. Develops and maintains cybersecurity and information security reference architecture artifacts (e.g., design patterns, models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations. Tracks developments and changes in the technology and security landscape and cyber threat environments to ensure that they're adequately addressed in cybersecurity strategic plans and security reference architecture artifacts (e.g., Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, etc.). Drafts cybersecurity and information security reference architecture-related standards and procedures to be reviewed and approved by executive management and/or formally authorized by the CISO. Validates IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommends changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable. Liaises with other security architects and security practitioners to share best practices and insights. Attends key security architecture-related conferences, seminars, and events to maintain situation awareness of leading security architecture trends, solutions, etc. Builds partnerships with security architecture subject matter experts in select foreign central banks to increase confidence in security reference architecture design patterns and solutions/standards components. disABLEDperson, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the high unemployment rate of individuals with disabilities.
