The Department of Financial Institutions is recruiting to fill a Contact Center Agent position in our Records Program Associate in the Division of Corporate and Consumer Services. The Division of Corporate and Consumer Services is the filing office to create corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited liability corporations, as well as documents to amend those charters. This unit also licenses foreign (out of state) organizations who wish to transact business in Wisconsin. The Department of Financial Institutions ensures the safety and soundness of Wisconsins financial institutions, protects consumers of financial services and facilitates economic growth. This position is headquartered at the brand-new Hill Farms State Office Building on the near-west side of Madison, Wisconsin. The hours of work for this position are 7:45AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary: Our Records Program Associates provide assistance to inbound customers for the division across various channels, including phone, email, office visits and other interactions related to the multiple programs administered by the division. Associates will need to interpret and relay information regarding processes, statutes and regulations using procedural and technical resources and systems in order to accurately respond to the customer. Customers may include individuals and firms submitting documents with requests and questions related to filing procedures and fees, record searches, copy and certified copy requests.

In addition, this position will process and manage the public record of all types of organizational and business documents submitted to the division as required by state statutes. This will include accurately assessing and applying filing, recording and service fees, endorsing accepted documents, and preparing communications to detail observations in documents submitted for filing.

Qualifications: A minimally qualified candidate will have experience providing customer service across multiple channels (i.e. phone, email, in-person, etc.) and experience using computer applications in a business setting (e.g. MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

In addition, a well-qualified candidate will have experience in data/record keeping (e.g. filing, tracking or logging data, etc.) or experience reading and interpreting statutes, policies, procedures or other complex documents.
