Description

Clearing, Markets & Issuer Services Technology(CMIST) is responsible for application development and supportfor more than 350 critical business systems including Repo Edge (collateralmanagement), Enterprise Payment Hub (multi-currency payment processing), andBroker Dealer Clearance (securities clearing).

Clearance and Collateral Technology (CCT) withinCMIST builds high-performance and resilient clearance and collateral managementplatforms to service BNY Mellons broker-dealer clients and is the soleprovider for Government Securities Clearing Services. The group is currentlyfocused on Repo Modernization, which will pave the way to the Future ofCollateral for the business providing strengthened platform resiliency andnew trade capabilities within a unified system. All CCT applications are builtfor real-time operations aided by a data warehouse for reporting and businessinsights.

CCT team is looking to augment the team with a strong ITBusiness Analyst who can analyze and document the both functional &non-functional requirements in a highly complex program and create relevant artifacts like use cases diagrams, Business flowdiagram, use case Scenarios, Sample Wireframe specific to user interface etc.Breaks down the program to independent modules with each work stream. Convertsthe business/functional requirements into use case and works closely withdevelopment team. Is accountable for overall functional delivery of theirassigned functional work stream. Provides guidance in development of thetechnical design, test plans, and user documentation. Facilitates KnowledgeTransfer sessions on a periodic basis to the team. Act as a technology productowner for the corresponding program/Product/Scrum team.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Document functional & non-functionalrequirements, perform gap analysis, design systems flows, and manage UATactivities leading to production release.

  • Develop business case and work closely withstakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Perform Gap Analysis and come up withsolutions for attaining the target state

  • Create Use Case and User Stories
  • Participate in researching production issueand remediation

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing
  • Perform data analysis and provide reports tobusiness/senior management on the need basis

  • Sr. Specialist Business Analysis Consultant-> > Consults with stakeholders to analyze, define, challenge and prioritize thebusiness requirements, functional specifications and operational architecturefor a functional work stream within a highly complex strategic, global program.Formulates and defines program scope and objectives for the work stream withthorough understanding of business processes in a specific business domain.Tailors standard processes and templates for team to elicit, challenge, andprioritize requirements, and translates into functional design and use casemodels. Develops project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for alarge, strategic, multi-year program. Prepares and manages the project plan,issues and risks, and is accountable for overall delivery of their assignedfunctional work stream on a large-scale program. Provides guidance indevelopment of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Leadsimplementation/conversion strategy planning and implementation. Manages scopeand change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control andrequirements traceability. Gathers and analyzes information and developsrecommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple,global business and technology areas. Participates in industry forums and keepscurrent on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areasof expertise. Applies experiences across various software and/or systemsdevelopment processes to define and collect metrics and identify and implementopportunities for improvement to increase quality of requirements and speedtime-to-market. Actively influences software and/or systems development processimprovement initiatives. Contributes to the achievement of related areaobjectives.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business ortechnical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanceddegree preferred

  • 8-10 years of experience in providingconsulting advice to senior IT and business management required

  • 5-8 years of recent relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of capital markets;experience in clearance space is desired

  • Excellent Analytical/Problem solving skills
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum
  • Experience creating detailed reports andgiving presentations.

  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Good communication/collaboration skills
  • Experience in the securities or financialservices industry is a plus.
