We are looking for a solid leader who will lead our Reporting & Analytics for Blackhawk. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration of existing and development of new data warehouses, dashboards and analytical tools that support business analytics within the CFO organization. In this role, you will advise VP, Global Finance and other finance leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. You will also guide and develop strategies for creating and executing analytics solutions that lead to improvement and optimization in business performance and risk minimization. In addition, you will work in collaboration with other business leaders to drive decisions based on data, facts and analytical findings across different parts of the organization.. This leader will give decision makers across the organization rapid access to the data required to make smarter, data-informed decisions. This position is charged with providing business leaders actionable insights gathered from both customer and financial data. The candidate must be able to translate complex analytical concepts into practical terms, motivate people throughout the organization to adopt new business practices and technologies, and clearly articulate the impact of analytics on the company's performance.. This position reports directly to our VP of Finance, based out of our headquarter office in Pleasanton, CA. This is not a virtual role.. In conjunction with Blackhawk's technology function, articulate and implement a recommendation plan on what technology, architecture, and team will be needed to develop the division and provide recommendations and or engineered solutions to execute on the plan.. Support the CFO organization towards improving weekly dashboarding capabilities to deliver high-quality data-driven business analyses, empirically-derived analytic models, and strategies that address business issues and provide key insights leading to ROI.. Collaborate with business unit leadership to create self-service tools, systems and team members that can deliver rapid, easily understandable visualization of data, benchmarks, and financial KPIs of detailing the health of the business.. Help identify reporting/analytical strengths and development opportunities.. Gain an in-depth knowledge of Blackhawk's key financial drivers including card level breakage analysis and related dashboards. Develop members of the analytics team ensuring they have the necessary skills, capabilities and experiences to deliver industry-leading analyses and insights.. Work with finance team on analysis and forecasting capabilities to drive business plans and forecasts.. Identify, introduce and educate business and finance leaders on analytical tools and how to effectively turn analysis into specific recommendations.. Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics required, PhD preferred.. 10+ years of experience in business intelligence with a history of progressively taking on roles with increasing responsibility.. Minimum of 7+ years' progressive management experience leading finance analytics or a similar function, including 5+ years in a leadership role.. Proven track record of translating business problems into analytical framework, developing analytical plans for answering complex problems and delivering analytical insights.. Exceptional planning, organizational and communication skills.. Ability to focus on future state and strategic directions while implementing quick wins and delivering business value in a cost effective and agile manner.. Preferred experience in a fast-paced, financial services organization.. Innovative thinker with intellectual curiosity, with an eye to developing new solutions and tools.. Self-motivated, well-rounded, analytical self-starter with ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, environment with aggressive deadlines.. Sound understanding of BI best practices/methodologies; experience with relational structures, structured query language (SQL), data warehouse and reporting techniques.. Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization concepts (i.e. Cognos, Spotfire, Tableau, QlikView, AWS-Quicksite, PowerBI, Microstrategy or similar).. Preferred experience integrating business intelligence with ERP systems.
