A global advisory firm in Midtown Manhattan is currently seeking a Tableau Developer for a temp to perm position. In this role, the candidate will contribute to a growing business intelligence team. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business intelligence (BI) reports and developing reports in SAS, SQL and MS office suite.   • Participate in all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as requirements gathering, analysis, designing, development, testing, and Documentation of reporting applications
  • Translate client requirements into functional specifications that will be used to design internal technical specification to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources
  • Perform data extraction, computation, and transformation, using SQL, SAS, and MS Excel
  • Provide updates to existing SAS reports and dashboards
  • Follow technology best practices, guidelines and processes
  • Troubleshooting and tuning SQL queries
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate supervision


  • A bachelors degree in computer science or a related field. Minimum 1-2 years of programming experience with SQL server
  • Strong Tableau experience
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (EXCEL/WORD/POWERPOINT) required
  • Familiar with SAS programming language desirable
  • Familiar with Tableau, QlikView, SSRS and Crystal Reports desirable
  • Experience with data warehouse systems using both relational and dimensional schemas desirable
  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
  • Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment
