L3Harris is searching for experienced Information Security Systems Engineering (ISSE) professionals to join the L3Harris Network Security Engineering Team supporting managed network infrastructures for federal government and other customers. This role is part of the Advanced Engineering team primarily working on bringing new business and new technologies to the company. It will be a dynamic environment and you will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including developing the security architecture for managed networks on new programs and pursuits, supporting Internal research and Development (IRAD), as well as being hands on and diving into the details when needed to configure routers and other network devices. This is a technical role but requires someone who can translate technical solutions into proposals. This position is onsite and located at L3Harris offices located in Melbourne, Florida. This position requires the ability to obtain FAA Public Trust and Top Secret Clearance.


Essential Functions:
 

  • Lead Security Systems Engineering efforts on new business pursuits responsible for developing network security architecture, selecting new network security products, and developing cost estimates to implement solutions.
  • Develop proposal documentation and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Provide expertise and leadership to current programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) teams being hands on when needed.
  • Develop, maintain and publish network security technical documentation in accordance with L3Harris Systems Engineering processes.
     

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with Networking technologies with ability to be hands on (e.g. configure a router).
  • Experience developing network security architectures.
  • Experience writing proposals and developing BOEs.
  • Experience in the application of Risk Management Frameworks like NIST or ISO.
  • Experience configuring network security devices.
     

Preferred Additional Skills:
 

  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage projects on their own with little direction.
  • A&A planning and management experience (preferably USAF, other DoD may be fine) for large SOS solutions including experience with TEMPEST assessments. 
  • Experience in application and compliance of customer tailored NIST 800.53 and FISMA controls and policies.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies.
  • CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+ , and other related certifications.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance.
  • F5 Experience.
