Job Description

Zurich Services LLC (a division of Zurich North America) is currently hiring a Sr User Experience Information Security Consultant and this person will report to Head of Information Security, Information Security & User Experience.  This person can work remotely.

 

Our Information Security consultants manage information security, IT and compliance risks to support Zurich's business goals. We are also charged with being cyber and IT security ambassadors across our organization. Reporting to our Digital Workplace Experience Information Security Head, you will support various projects and initiatives from a security and usability perspective. This will involve collaborating with our business partners and internal teams to ensure early-stage consideration of security ('security by design'). It will also involve ensuring relevant processes and technological initiatives reflect best industry security practices while ensuring great end-user experiences. You will be provided with guidance and training to facilitate your development within this role.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Understanding and implementing business requirements and making technical changes required to maintain secure e-mail services at Zurich in collaboration with mail security business partner
  • Assessing operational risks for e-mail security as a service, providing relevant remedial guidance
  • Supporting our Business Partner Manager on ensuring consistent technical execution of priorities for NA and LATAM Regions
  • Ensuring timely implementation of business-as-usual requests raised by NA and LATAM Regions
  • Acting as a subject matter expert to Information Security Specialist supporting EMEA, NA, LATAM and APAC Regions for global coverage consistency
  • Supporting Zurich Group's IT security, risk and compliance technologies roadmap
  • Consulting on mail projects and services for effective risk mitigation and control implementation while ensuring outstanding end-user experience
  • Enabling compliance with IT-related policies and regulatory requirements, while developing and supporting plans to remediate Digital Workplace Experience compliance gaps

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
  • Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area AND
  • MS Office experience
  • Knowledge of information technology operations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working with e-mail security capabilities
  • Experience troubleshooting corporate e-mail
  • Solid understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
  • Experience (preferably within large enterprises) on providing consultancy support to projects or business team, or on operating within an associated field such as IT, information security, risk and/or compliance
  • Relevant degree or diploma programme of study
  • Knowledge of information and/or IT risk management standards and disciplines would be an advantage; particularly control frameworks such as:
  • ISO 27000 series
  • NIST's Cyber-security Framework
  • SANS Critical Security Controls
  • Experience with security assessments and assessing cloud implementations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good listening and questioning skills
  • Proven ability to succeed in collaborative work environments and build relationship
  • Security accreditations such as CISA, CISM, CISSP or CCSK would be an advantage
  • Experience writing inbound / outbound mail filtering policy rules would be a plus
