Your Role

 

The Information Security team partners with IT and business teams to provide support and guidance to build products with sustained security and compliance through industry best practices . The Security Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of Security Engineering . In this role you will be designing, implementing, and maintaining security technologies using Agile methodologies.  You will be responsible for system enhancements, process improvement, and creative solutioning to solve complex problems and improve the effectiveness of our cyber security solutions.

 

 

 

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for deploying perimeter, network, systems, and end point security technologies

  • Provide recommendation with security technology selection that protects company assets, limits exposure to technology risk, and prevent security incidents from happening.

  • Work to achieve strategic and operational targets with significant impact on the IT Security Engineering results

  • Ensure delivery of high availability, systems design, architecture, cloud technologies, databases, open source, web and mobile platforms

  • Provide support, advice and advocacy to Security teams on technical solutions; resolving issues and finding options to meet new business requirements

  • Building, implementing, and ongoing maintenance of Information Security and Risk Management platforms and controls including perimeter, cloud, data, network, application security, automation/orchestration, and endpoint security.

  • Work with business, architects, and Information Security and Risk Management to gain an understanding of organizational objectives and requirements.

  • Evaluate security technologies and making recommendations advocating the adoption of new security technologies and solutions to support emerging enterprise business and customer needs.

  • Responsible for providing security guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the company across a broad area of expertise.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex issues ranging from operating system, application, network, and Information Security and Risk Management platforms, while working closely with IT cross functional teams delivering security solutions, that mitigate cyber-attacks, data breaches, intrusions, and compromise of corporate information systems.

  • Identify areas where process and automation would enhance Information Security and Risk Management program delivery.   Work closely with IT cross functional teams to implement process and automation solutions.

  • Create and maintain security engineering design and product documentation.  Perform reviews regularly and ensure all documentation is kept current.

  • Provide ongoing status of security technology metrics, compliance efforts, measures of effectiveness, as well as planned events and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.
